LEAVES!

I did A LOT of raking this fall!! The kids destroyed this pile and I had to rake it again last weekend! We have 22 bags full of leaves! Whew!

Aida's First Sleepover!

Aida was invited to her first sleepover! She went to Nikki's house for her birthday. They are in the same class and take tumble together. She was so excited, she had me take pictures of her backpack. They painted nails, sprayed their hair pink, watched "UP", made cupcakes and did karaoke! What a fun first sleepover!

Aida's First School Program

Aida had her first school program. It was the same Thanksgiving program that Henry did the year before! I guess when you have two children one year apart in school, that will happen! She was cute as a little Indian. After the program, we had a Thanksgiving feast in her classroom.

Halloween

We had a busy Halloween week as usual. Nate couldn't go to the parties this year because he was moving his office, so I was running back and forth from Henry's portable to Aida's classroom. They happened to be at opposite ends of the school - and Central Park is a large school! The kids both had their Halloween school parties and parade on the 30th and then we trick or treated on the 31st in the neighborhood. Henry has more candy than I have ever seen!!! We are going to have to get rid of it somehow! Both of the kids counted and sorted their candies by type! So funny.

Neighbors

A mom made these eyeball cookies for Henry's school party. They were so cute. Nilla wafers with white chocolate on top, blue icing and an upside down chocolate chip. Red food coloring was applied with a toothpick for effect. They were yummy too!

50's Day Program

The first grade had a 50's program to celebrate the 50th day of school. They dressed like 50's kids and sang fifties songs. It was so cute! Henry is kind of in the middle wearing sunglasses.

This is our neighbor Emma. She looks so grown up here!

Henry and Emma's Birthday Party

This year Lisa (my neighbor) and I asked Emma and Henry if they would like to have a joint birthday party since their birthdays are 6 days apart. We had a mini fall carnival in our backyard with cotton candy, caramel apples, face painting, sack races, mummy wrapping, pass the pumpkin and feel the mystery goo! It was soooo much fun, and we really lucked out on the weather. All of the kids really enjoyed the party. We also had a pinata, but it broke so we ended up throwing the candy off of the deck like a parade!

The guests of honor - Emma and Henry!
Valentina feeling the mystery goo (jello with gummy eyeballs and noodles!)

Henry showing Blake and Tate a gummy eyeball! They looked bloody in the red jello!

It took about an hour and a half to decorate for the party.

We gave out these cute little masks as game prizes as well as pumpkin necklaces with lights to wear for Halloween, Boo suckers, jack-o-lantern punch balls, candy, monster parachuters and also small pumpkins to take home.

Henry's Wii - Finally!

Henry celebrated his 7th birthday today and FINALLY got a Wii. Santa really messed up last Christmas, so Henry has waited almost another year for a Wii. He was very excited to get a Wii.

We ate at Carrabba's for Henry's birthday lunch...His party isn't until October 24th, so we had a mini celebration of our own. He picked Carrabba's because they let kids play with bread dough while waiting on their meals.

Goofballs....
