Henry and Emma's Birthday Party

This year Lisa (my neighbor) and I asked Emma and Henry if they would like to have a joint birthday party since their birthdays are 6 days apart. We had a mini fall carnival in our backyard with cotton candy, caramel apples, face painting, sack races, mummy wrapping, pass the pumpkin and feel the mystery goo! It was soooo much fun, and we really lucked out on the weather. All of the kids really enjoyed the party. We also had a pinata, but it broke so we ended up throwing the candy off of the deck like a parade!

It took about an hour and a half to decorate for the party.

We gave out these cute little masks as game prizes as well as pumpkin necklaces with lights to wear for Halloween, Boo suckers, jack-o-lantern punch balls, candy, monster parachuters and also small pumpkins to take home.

Henry's Wii - Finally!

Henry celebrated his 7th birthday today and FINALLY got a Wii. Santa really messed up last Christmas, so Henry has waited almost another year for a Wii. He was very excited to get a Wii.

We ate at Carrabba's for Henry's birthday lunch...His party isn't until October 24th, so we had a mini celebration of our own. He picked Carrabba's because they let kids play with bread dough while waiting on their meals.

Pumpkin Patch in Anderson, MO

We went to the Hay Maze in Anderson, MO today. The kids had a lot of fun.....

Cold for October!!!

It is soooo cold here right now --- like Winter! The kids are already wearing gloves and hats and Prissy is wearing her Halloween outfit to keep warm!!

Biscuit Pizzas and Razorback Bottoms

Nate had the idea of making mini pizzas out of frozen biscuits....The kids had fun making their own little pizzas....

Nate took Henry to the Arkansas/Auburn game. Aida and I watched it on TV. She stuffed her little pom pom in her bottom and wanted a picture of it! I know she didn't learn how to do this at Tumble class!!

Freezing Flag Football and a Pink Princess

Nate had to help coach defense for Henry's game. It was in the forties - Brrrr!! Henry got defensive player of the game! He is all about pulling flags!

Luck o' the Irish

Nate and I had a great time in Ireland! The people there are sooo nice and there is no language barrier! We stayed in a great hotel on a large lake with a mountain view. Farmland had some great dinners and we really enjoyed ourselves! I took almost 150 pics, so this is just a sample.

We took a tour of the Gap of Dunloe on the rainiest day we had there! We had to leave our boat and trek thru the woods because the lake was too shallow! We were all soaked and freezing by the end of the tour which started in traps ( horse drawn open carriages) up a 7 mile mountain pass. Everyone had fun despite the weather! It was beautiful!

Our trap and horse - Frank! Frank was the first to start the 7 mile trek and we were the last to the finish! He took his own time. We had to get out and walk here to give the horses a break. It was very steep at this particular point on the Gap.

Our welcoming reception was nice. An Irish band called the Weavers played traditional Irish music and we had an amazing buffet.

Nate and his boss, Rob. All of upper management wore traditional kilts the first evening.

We ate at Murphy's Bar in Killarney for lunch on Monday. We ate at two other Irish pubs while there and they had great food. The locals in this pub were all having Guiness at noon on a Monday! No wonder they are all such happy people!!

Our last night :(. They had an Irish accordian player and Irish dancers on the last evening. We had to turn in a little early since we had to get up at 3:30 am for our 2 hour bus ride to the airport and 9 hour plane ride!!! We were exhausted when we finally made it back to AR, but it was all worth it!
