He Did It! His First Hit!

Henry made his first hit tonight and scored a run!! His team lost, but came back with 6 runs in the last inning! His coach gave him the game ball! Go Cardinals!

Henry and Aida's Books

Henry and Aida wrote books at school called Bear Books. The entire school wrote the books and illustrated them. I didn't know they were doing this. Henry wrote a book about the Titanic. Since we went to the museum in Branson, he has gotten a lot of books about it at the library. His book was great! Aida wrote about Prissy. It is such a funny book. The books were judged by teachers in the school. Henry won a trophy for his!! I am so proud of both of them!

Roses!

Our roses look sooo pretty right now!!

Aida' Field Trip

Aida's class took a field trip to Twin Springs Equestrian Center in Siloam Springs. I went with them as a chaperone. It was a fun trip. They got to learn about horse riding and horse care, etc. This is a picture of her class. She is so lucky to have had Mrs. Bowen! We will miss her! She has been a fantastic teacher!

Aida's class being silly!

This horse was so funny. His name was Frosty and he "smiled" at the kids.

The old man who owned this pony said he was "off in the head." He kept digging holes!

The kids read to the horses in the stables. It was sweet.

This horse was beautiful and we watched him jump over some hurdles. He used to be a race horse. His name is Chase.

Aida being Aida.

Watching the horse show.

Aida's best buddy at school is Haley. They sat together on the bus ride.

Henry

Henry started baseball this Spring. He has never played before. We can almost see the fields from our house which is nice. He is on the St. Louis Cardinals. He hasn't made a hit yet, but he will! I just know it!

Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa watched the kids while we were in Phoenix. Daddy installed new kitchen tile while we were away! Here he is working away! Thanks Papa for new floor!!

This is a little sign Papa made to keep the kids off of this little tile triangle under the box.

Nana out in the front driveway.

Justin Beiber?? Or Nate??

I fixed Nate's hair at our hotel in Phoenix, and he looked like a giant Justin Beiber! If you don't know who he is...do a google search! Singing with his "mike."

Valley of the Sun Getaway

Nate took me on a Mother's Day getaway to Phoenix. We had a great time and stayed at a nice place where we could just relax. The hotel had 8 pools! We basically ate and lay by the pool for a couple of days! I am so lucky to have such a great hubby! Nate took this picture before we left Phoenix on Saturday. We had to get up at 4 am to make it to the airport. This picture was taken at about 6 am.

This cactus is huge!

Nate gave the cactus a lick...he he.

The hotel grounds were very nice. This is around the large pool area.

A pretty waterfall by one of the pools.

There was a restaurant atop the mountain near our hotel. We just took a picture of the view.

Nice view! The temperature was 100 degrees both days were were there!

Our room was in the building in the background of this photo.

This was near our room. The rocks are nice!

The view from our balcony. The hotel ground was spread out like a tiny village. The rooms were in different building all around the property.

View from our balcony.

Random...

I was in the half bath and noticed a wadded up piece of paper in the trash. Our trash in there never gets much trash, so this was about the only thing in it. I saw little handwriting. I don't know if Aida or Kathryn wrote this note. It is hilarious. I think Aida may have written it. If you can't really see the note it says "Little girls always win...Well, sometimes Mommy's win!"

I was going to throw this little wicker plant stand away. It is coming apart and looks terrible and has seen many different cans of spray paint. I put it in the garage. Now it is Charlotte's favorite spot, so now it is hers!

Fun in the Sun - Finally!

I bought Henry a $1 magnifying glass at Dollar General. He got a leaf and it started smoking! The kids were mesmerized by this. He watches Survivor sometimes with Nate. Maybe he would be a good candidate!! He is here with Kobi. Kobi's grandparents live in our neighborhood and he is over at their house after school each day and some weekends. Henry and Kobi are becoming good friends! Kobi is also in second grade.

Waiting for the smoke!

Kathryn and Aida also got in on the action.

Crazy Kids!

These pictures aren't very good quality because I took them with my phone at night a neighbors house. Kathryn has alot of dress up clothes so the kids kept coming out in new ensembles! Look at Henry on the left as a old lady!!! I wish they were better quality!
